Overview

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C., January 9, 1914, by three young African-American male students. The founders, Honorable A. Langston Taylor, Honorable Leonard F. Morse, and Honorable Charles I. Brown, wanted to organize a Greek letter fraternity that would truly exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service.

Our chapter exemplifies these ideals as all of our members are professionals with a sincere desire to give back to the community that gave so much for us. We participate in programs like the March of Dimes, Sigma Wellness and American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. We also support our local VA Hospital, universities and assisted living facilities.

Our meetings are held in the Westberry-Engram Community Center located in the heart of Third Ward, Houston Texas.
